Heat Map in Excel. Heat Map in Excel is used to show data in different color pattern. This helps in judging whether the data target is achieved or not. In Heat Map, data is shown in a different color pattern so that we can see which data point is below the limit and which one is above the limit.
Coloring in heat maps works the same way as in cross tables. The example below shows a heat map where the Y-axis is set to the column Test, while the X-axis is set to (None). The individual cell values show the average of the three columns, Time 1, Time 2, and Time 3.
